== Website and documentation ==
The website was down for a short while, but seems to be running ok since.

Beginning in February 2014, interested members of the DAViCal community began organizing (with the concurrence of Andrew McMillan, the primary author of DAViCal) a community support model for DAViCal because of continued limitations in the time Andrew is able to dedicate to the project. The meetings are held on the #davical '''IRC''' channel on [https://webirc.oftc.net:8443/ irc.oftc.net] (the usual DAViCal IRC channel).

Meeting minutes are taken using the '''Gobby''' collaborative editor:
__NOTOC__

DAViCal PROJECT MEETING, called for 2015-06-29, 19:00 UTC

People involved in the meeting: fsfs, JimFenton, gorka

Begin time: 19:20 UTC

1. Project infrastructure

1.1. Website and documentation

a good bit of work was done on the wiki over the last weeks.
JimFenton will remove pages that have been marked as to be deleted and gorka
will keep up the gardening.

gorka agreed to have a look at the outdated parts of the website and update
the content where necessary.

JimFenton will ask Tuxick about his server statistics for access counts of
the Davical version check that each installation is doing when an admin
accesses that page. With luck we'll get an approximated number of active
installations (and maybe their rough locations) out of that, that we can
display on the main page.

It was agreed that work needs to be done in infrastructure and documentation
to make it easier for future developers to understand and contribute to the
code base.

fsfs suggested we should at least have a list in the 'contributing' section
of the wiki that is guiding interested developers in the right direction.

1.2. Source code

Puck (Andrew Ruthven on gitlab) merged most of the DAViCal merge requests but
a few more on the AWL project still exist. Gorka will check back with
contributor Mathias Althaus again and then merge thoes as well.

DAViCal PROJECT MEETING, called for 2015-10-01, 19:00 UTC

People involved in the meeting:
Frank Martin, Gorka (Paul Kallnbach), Cyril Giraud, Jim Fenton, Florian Schlichting (fsfs), Narcis Garcia

Begin time: 19:04 UTC

1. Project infrastructure

1.1. Website and documentation
- Gorka made some updates to the wiki and updated several pages on the project website.
- Language issues on the wiki are still not sorted out (plugin problems), Jim to poke tuxick.
- We need to clarify which plugins are used right now (and what version) and which are going to be used in the future ("Subpages", "UniversalLanguageSelector)
- Florian to document "davical-current" Debian repository.

1.2. Downloads and binary repositories

1.2.2 RedHat/RPM Packages

1.2.3 Virtual Machine Packages

1.3. Localization

- 24 languages are available (*.po files), but only 17 in language drop-down list choser (*.values files).
- 3 languages with zero translation.
- Cyril will write missing .values files according to Wikipedia translations (and ask for translators for Korean: North or South ?).

2. Development

2.1. Tickets or bug reports

2.2. Patches or updates

2.2.1 DAViCal repository
- Frank will contact the author of merge request #18 (Marten Gajda) to get more info about the bug fix.
- Narcis offered to take responsibility for the shell scripts involved in installing / updating DAViCal, as long as he's properly informed on how the changes should look like

2.2.2 AWL repository

- 4 merge requests for AWL were outstanding. All were merged except #1 which was tagged as work-in-progress by gorka.

2.3. New features or versions
A new release should be prepared in the near future to make the accumulated bug fixes available to our users. We should probably go over open bugs once more and reach out to translators, then do davical 1.1.4

3.Project community

- gorka to contact Sebastian Kotthoff and Jim Fenton to contact Mark Davies to invite them to join the community since they have made significant contributions.
Next meeting 5 November at 1900 UTC

Narcis Garcia mentioned that he can work on ShellScript wizards when needed, such as those to update the database.

3.3. Communication with Andrew McMillan

None, other than nice pictures on Google+

4. Off topics

At the end of the meeting, ibeardslee (of Catalyst, Andrew used to work there) joined the meeting. General agreement that the administrative UI needs a lot of design help.

Meeting adjourned 21:46.
Frank martinhttps://wiki.davical.org/index.php?title=Community_Support&diff=3576Community Support2015-10-02T08:31:46Z
Frank martin: Addes link to new minutes

== Community Support ==

Beginning in February 2014, interested members of the DAViCal community began organizing (with the concurrence of Andrew McMillan, the primary author of DAViCal) a community support model for DAViCal because of continued limitations in the time Andrew is able to dedicate to the project. The meetings are held on the #davical '''IRC''' channel on irc.oftc.net (the usual DAViCal IRC channel).

Meeting minutes are taken using the '''Gobby''' collaborative editor:

* Host: assemblies.actiu.info:23101
* Password: davical
* Client software: http://gobby.github.io/
* [http://www.actiu.info/gobby/gobby-channels_en.pdf Quick guide] (PDF).

Debian and Ubuntu desktop users may use the package gobby-infinote from built-in repositories. The Gobby package from Android repositories has no
relationship with the exposed collaborative software.

'''Next scheduled meeting:''' '''Thursday, 1 October 2015, at 19:00 UTC'''
