Failures of this kind mean that DAViCal can probably still keep working for much of what it does. It can be a CalDAV server, but maybe it can't fetch remote calendars, or a few particular clients might not work quite so well. Or it might all be in English. Not recommended to be this way, but sometimes there is no choice. You should keep your eyes open for problems.
